Take Control Of Your Allergies

This is prime time to go for a walk, find a trail at a nearby park, or hike up a mountain.

Even sitting on a bench and taking in the beauty of the season can be a wonderful change after

getting through the winter months. That paints a pretty picture, right?

For allergy sufferers, outdoor activities look more like this:

  • Pressure headaches
  • Foggy brain
  • Watery eyes
  • Sneezing
  • Coughing
  • Runny nose
  • Even fatigue!

Over 50 million Americans suffer from allergies every year and that number is on the rise.

Pollen, grass, flowers, and trees are just one area of focus. Foods, metals, fragrances, and preservatives are just a few more to mention.

What happens when our body is triggered by an allergen?

Our immune system is always on alert for any stressors that we may come in contact with, and this exposure creates a ripple effect. Our body quickly releases a chemical via our white blood cells into our bloodstream called histamine. Histamines help to increase blood flow into the affected area causing inflammation and other chemical responses to help get that allergen out of your body. How amazing, the defenses we have in place!

However, this histamine activation is also the cause of those mild to sometimes severe reactions, for example, an increase in mucous production when breathing in pollen, abdominal cramping when eating a specific food, or atopic dermatitis when using a new laundry detergent.

There are so many ways these stressors can present themselves. Wouldn't you rather have your body focus on those pathogens trying to invade your body than share its resources with that corn on cob you just ate at the county fair?

How else do allergens affect us?

Allergies cause a disruption or block in our energetic pathways. In traditional Chinese medicine the body is made up of 12 meridians or energy pathways. Each meridian is active for a little over 2 hours a day, but blockages can cause interference in communication between the brain and body. Let’s minimize these burdens and blockages and get our immune system working back at an optimal level.

Here at Real Health Medical, we use AAET, an advanced form of NAET first discovered by Devi S. Nambudripad, a Doctor of Chiropractic Arts and a licensed Acupuncturist.

AAET is a non-invasive procedure that helps to evaluate and eliminate all kinds of allergies. Using MRT (muscle response testing) allergies are first identified. Once confirmed, the allergens can be avoided for a period of time to allow the body to repair itself. The allergens can also be treated using a technique where acupuncture points are stimulated with a red cold laser to activate the organ meridians. No needles here! This stimulation activates the body’s response system to desensitize you to allergens or stressors that were initially confirmed allowing the body’s immune system to function as intended.

Here are just some of the benefits our AAET clients have reported:

  • Increased energy
  • Reduction of symptoms related to seasonal allergies.
  • Cleared skin conditions such as hives and acne.
  • Reduced digestion symptoms like bloating, acid reflux, and better elimination
  • Balanced hormone response
  • Increased focus and attention
  • Better water absorption
  • Strengthened immunity and overall, wellbeing.

AAET is a powerful avenue of healing we can incorporate into our health journey.
