The process involves taking a few blood samples, typically from the arm, and putting it in a test tube. The tube goes into a centrifuge which separates the plasma and the blood cells. Results for most patients are immediate but it may take a few months to experience its full effectiveness. A penis pump may be given to patients after the procedure as part of the follow-up care.
